Bike Fit Foundation Course

Aimed at those who are new to bike fitting. Suitable for cycling industry and medical professionals who want to start offering a bike fitting service. We aim to teach an evidence based and gold standard level bike fitting protocol regardless of the equipment or technology used. The course includes presentations and a heavy emphasis on hands on practical sessions. The attendees will leave with the ability to conduct a bike fit. Recognised by the International Bike Fitting Institute.

Bike Fit Foundation Course

  • The anatomy and physiology of cycling
  • Physical screening for cycling analysis
  • Introduction to cycling biomechanics, bike fitting theory and interventions
  • Bicycle component overview
  • Road and TT/Tri bike fit process
  • Shoe and cleat set up
  • Positional and postural considerations
  • Saddle selection
  • Bike measurement and documentation
  • Introduction to motion capture for cycling analysis
